To help alleviate dry skin symptoms follow these simple steps at home.
Nourish from the inside: Our bodies need essential fatty acids (EFA’s). The richest source comes from fatty fish such as mackerel, herrings and salmon, seeds and nuts.
Luke warm water: ensure you use luke warm water when cleansing your skin, hot water tends to leave skin drier.
Moderate exfoliation: Scrubs, fruit acids or anything that exfoliates the skin has the potential to dry the skin and remove precious oils. Only use mild exfoliation products once or twice a week.
Moisturise: Apart from selecting oil rich cream to replenish a lack of natural skin oil, ensure you apply it to a moist skin. Spritzing skin with a hydrating toner will assist absorption of the cream.
Correct skin care: Creamy nourishing cleansers, lipid rich serums, aromatic treatment oils and hydrating toners, rich emollient moisturisers are the ideal products to select for your dry skin.
