Combination Skin

Characteristics and Causes
Skin is classed as combination when it has overactive oil production on the forehead, nose and chin with normal or drier areas on the cheeks and neck. The oily areas sometimes have blackheads present with the occasional breakout.
Some typical symptoms of combination skin are:
Oily forehead, nose and chin
Blackheads may be present in oily areas with occasional breakouts
Cheeks are normal with minimal oil secretion
Many skins could be classed as combination skin as skin naturally has more oil glands in the T-zone area.
For some people however, the difference of oiliness to normal skin can be quite considerable. On the whole this is caused by genetic factors but good skin care can help create a better balance between oilier and drier areas of skin.
